The Census of 1841 was taken on 6th June 1841and included all persons who were in the house that night.
The returns also include those from the household who had died in the previous ten years and those who were away
from the household - either in the county, in other parts of Ireland or abroad. Killeshandra is the only
full parish that has survived for all of Ireland and contains almost 14,000 persons but is not yet fully computerised. |
